Shri Delhi Lohana Mahila Mandal - Year of Formation 1990-91

Owing to Guest from Cochin, prominent lohana mahila Shrimati Kusumben Thakkar's inspiration and good wishes, Gujrat Vihar's Bungalow No. 107 resident Shrimati Kanchanben Thakkar hosted few lohana women. Shrimati Kusumben Thakkar gave insight on today's women group and it's functioning and started the Mahila Mandal. Shrimati Kanchanben Badiani was blessed with the chance of becoming the first President and this is how formal mandal was organized.

First President Late Shrimati Kanchanben Badiani, Vice President Shrimati Kanchanben Thakkar, General Secretary Shrimati Maltiben Pavagadhi were appointed. Thereafter Shrimati Kanchanben Thakkar became the President and her intelligence and experience gave direction to the mandal.

Later on to increase the enthusiasm of the younger women and their ongoing activities, Shrimati Maltiben Pavagadhi was handed over the rein of the mandal and that's how the area of functioning grew.

Due to her mingling nature and working style, lot of women joined the group and that's how the mandal grew in organised fashion. After that Shrimati Miraben Sadrani was appointed the President. Lot of activities were planned collectively including the successful discourse of Shrimad Bhagwat Saptah was organized at the hall of Radha Krishna Mandir at Roop Nagar for 7 days. It was a big success. Pujya Shri Morari Bapu was in Delhi and he was invited for the saptah wherein he gave some time from his busy schedule on the day of the Krishna Janam and made it a huge success. He praised and blessed the mandal members for all the efforts.

After that Anand Mela in the year 1994-95, Dandia Night of year 2000, cooking competition, picnic and ras garba during navratras organized by the mandal gave it, it's due recognition. After becoming a respectable organization, it made a good name in the cultural, social and religious arena; owing to which women from far flung areas came in the programmes organized and these connections helped in increasing the gnati benefitting activities.

Thereafter Shrimati Prafullaben Popat and Shrimati Jyotiben Badiani took the rein of the sansthan and gave it effective leadership and increased the pride of the mandal.

Current President Shrimati Sudhaben Palan and General Secretary Shrimati Smitaben Ruparelia are leading the sansthan with their devotion and affection.
